Synthesis and Structural Studies on Mono,' Homobi; and Heterobinuclear Complexes of Cu (II), Cd (II) and Hg (II) With N, N'-Ethylene-Bis-Salicylidineimine

Mono-, homobi-, and hetero binuclear complexes of N, N' -ethylene imine with Cu(II), (Hg(II) and Cd(II) were prepared and characterised by chemical analysis, spectral and X-ray diffraction techniques and conductance measurements of ethanolic solutions. The IR spectra of the various metal chelates confirm the structural formulae predicted from the chemical analysis of the complexes. The conclusions agreed with the results of conductance measurements of ethanolic solutions of the ligand, simple metal salts and the metal chelates.
