The hypoglycemic activity of copper tolbutamide was observed on experimental animals (Dogs) and then compared with the parent drug tolbutamide using Folio and Wu method. Results reveal that one half of the quantity of Cu -tolbutamide as compared to that of parent drug is sufficient to produce almost similar results and hence is more effective.
