Different coumarins sulphonyl hydrazide and their hydrazones (III), (V), (VI) and (VII) were prepared, 4-Methyl-7-hydroaycoumarin-6-sulphonamides (VIII), (IX), (X) and (XX) were also obtained. Reaction of the sulphonyl chloride (II) with p-acetyl-aminobenzenesulphonehydrazide and add hydrolysis of the product was presented. The antibacterial activity of most of the newly prepared compounds were also discussed.
