Murexide interacted Ni (H)-3A Zeolite wit studied by IR spectrophotometric TG. X-ray Diffraction and UV-Vis spectrophotometry analysis to determine the nature of the interaction and the changes in the zeolite character need as a cation-exchanger and adsorbent, The residue of the interacted sample after heating gave a bluish colour as compared to its original light green colour. Thermal studies indicate only partial dehydration, dehydroxylation and decomposition of the adsorbed spices as the sequence of events on heating resulting in the formation of a new Ni(II) containing zeolite derivative. X-ray data of the new interacted sample differ from those of Ni(II) exchanged and original 3A zeolite but the crystallinity remains more or less unaltered.
