The over-all formation constants of the mixed ligand complexes of 1 -methylimidazole (1-Melm) and (Mal) with In (III) have been studied polarographically at constant ionic strength, U—20 NaNO2 and pH 7.4 at 25±0 1°C. The reduction of the complexes at a DME is reversible and diffusion controlled. The constants for three mixed complexes of In (III) are log B11 - 4.2 for [ In(l -Melm)( Mal) log B12 - 4.4 for [ In(1 - Melm). (Mal)2, ]-2 * and log B21= 5.9 for [ln(1-Melm)2 (Mal) . The positive value of the mixing constant Km show that the mixed complexes is more stable than the simple one.
