2-styryj-(4 methoxy)- 6-amino-4-oxoquinazoline main diazo component (in the preparation of azo dyes containig azido group) was prepared by condensing 2-methyl- 6-nitro 4-oxoquizoline with p-anisaldehyde. It was diazotized and coupled with various couping component having amino group to give azo disperse dyes. These dyes were reacted with sulphonyl chloride to form sulphonyl chloride dyes and react with sodiumazide to form a sulphonazide dyes.
