Interactions of 2-mecaptoethylbenztmidazole with Co(ll). Ni(ll) and Zn(ll) in presence of [3-alanine, 1,3-diaminopropane and catechol have been studied pH metrically. The ternary complexes are formed in stepwise manner in which 2-mercaptoeathlyl benzimidazole behave as primary ligand. The stability sequence of ternary complexes found to be: 1,3-diaminopropane > catechol >β-alanine.
