Some novel mixed ligand complexes of cobalt (II) and nickel(II) with tetrachlorophthalic, and adipic acid with tridentate ligands were prepared. The compounds have proposed the general formula [M(acid)L], where M=Co(ll) or Ni(ll) and acid H2 = tetrachlorophthalic and adipic acid, L = diethylenetriamine or terpyridine. The complexes were isolated from the reaction in solid form and characterized on the basis of elemental analyses conductivity measurements, magnetic measurements, and infrared and electronic spectroscopic studies.
