Schiff base complexes of copper (II), nickel (II) and cobalt (II) have been prepared using metal chloride solutions. The schiff base ligand has been obtained by condensation of 2-hydroxy-5-carboxy acetophenone with 2-amino pyrimidine. It has been observed that the complexes are readily formed upon refluxing. The complexes were characterised on the basis of their molar conductivity, molecular weight, magnetic moment and infra-red spectral data.
