Mixed Ligand Complexes of Alkali Metal Salts of Organic Acids With Thiosalicylic Acid

A number of mixed ligand complexes of alkali metal salts of some organic acid with thiosalicylic acid having type formula ML. HL, where M=Li, Na or K, HL-= thiosalicylic acid, L= deprotonated 1N2N, 8HQ, ONP, DNP have been synthesised and characterised by elemental analysis and IR spectral data. The IR spectra of these complexes indicate the coordination through S-atom of -SH group and O-atom of -COOH group of the thiosalicylic acid.
