A few oxomolybdenum (V) complexes of Schiff bases derived from Pyridine-2-carboxaldehyde, 2, 5-dihydroxy acetophenone, 5-nitrobenzaldehyde and 2,5-dihydroxynapthaldehyde with Hydrazine carboxamide [PyCHC], [DHAPHC], [NBALHC] and [DHNALHC], respectively, and thiosemicarbazide [PyCTSC], [DHAPTSC], [NBALTSC] and [DHNALTSC], respectively, were prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, electronic spectra, molar conductance and magnetic susceptibility. These studies indicated octahedral geometry around the metal ion. The complexes were also screened for biological activities.
