Synthesis of Fluorinated Pyrazolone Compounds

Various fluorine containing (4Z)-2-(4-fluorophenyl)-4-[(1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)methylidene]-5-(trifluoromethyl)-2,4-dihydro-3H-pyrazol-3-one 3a-e, (4E)-2-(4-fluorophenyl)-4-[(4-oxo-3,4-dihydro-2H-chromen-3-yl)methylidene]-5-(trifluoromethyl)-2,4-dihydro-3H-pyrazol-3-one 5a-e and (4E)-4-[(2-chloroquinolin-3-yl)methylidene]-2-(4-fluorophenyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)-2,4-dihydro-3H-pyrazol-3-one 7a-e have been synthesized. The compounds have been characterized by IR, 1H, NMR, MS study and further confirmed by elemental analysis.
