A series of 2-(phenyl/substituted phenyl/2-furanyl/2""-thienyl)-3-(2',3'-dimethyl-1'-phenyl-3'-pyrazolin-5'-one-4'-yl)-5-[(4-methoxy) benzylidene]-4-thiazolidinones (3a-t) have been synthesized by the reaction between 2,3-diaryl-4-thiazolidinones (2a-t) and 4-methoxy benzaldehyde (1) in alcohol in presence of sodium ethoxide. All the synthesized compounds have been screened for their antibacterial activity. The structures of the syntheiszed compounds have been established on the basis of their elemental analysis and spectral data."
