Ten water samples from Kerwan dam reservoir at Bhopal have been analysed for Iron, Lead, Manganese, Aluminium, Copper and Zinc. High concentration of toxic elements viz. Iron and Lead, is noticed in a few samples. The probable resources for these elements are sewage and small scale industries and also high way contamination. Immediate quality monitoring of reservoir water is suggested in this area.
