The physico-chemical constants of the seed oil and constituent fatty acids and amino acids of the seeds of Cleome viscosa were characterized. The medicinal properties attributed to the seed oil were evaluated by screening it against pathogenic and non-pathogenic fungi and Gram's +ve and Gram's -ve bacteria.
KEYWORDS:Cleome viscosa; fatty acids; unsaponifiable matter; amino acids; pathogenic organisms
