The effect of concentration of medium constituents (NH4 NO3 , KH2 PO4 and MgSO4) on citric acid production by submerged fermentation has been studied. It has been observed that MgSO and KH2 PO4 in the concentration of 0.25 g/L each and NH4 NO3 in the concentration of 1.5 g/L is optimum for citric add production by Aspergillus niger.
KEYWORDS:Aspergillus niger; observed MgSO
