The coordination compounds of tungsten (VI) were obtained using monochloro penta (Phenoxo) tungsten (VI). The ligands used were variedly substituted monobasic bidentate / tri-dentate triazene- 1-oxides. The stoichtometry of complexes and stereochemistry has been arrived using, elemental analyses, conductance measurements in nitromethane, molecular complexities in freezing benzene and I.R. spectra. Seven coordinate pentagonal bipyramidal structure has been assigned to these complexes.
KEYWORDS:tri-dentate; stereochemistry; monobasic nitromethane
