The new synthsis of benzothiazilylamino-pyrazoles (II) have been achieved successfully. The aceto-acetamido benzothiazoles (I) required for above synthesis were synthesised by condensing 2-amino-4/5/6-methyl/ H-benzothiazoles with acetoacetic ester. The latter compounds (I) on further condensation with hydrazine hydrate in ethanol produced the benzothiazolylamino-pyrazoles (II). The structure of all these compounds have been established on the basis of conventional chemical analysis supported by IR and PMR studies. The compounds have been screened for their antimicrobial studies with remarkable antimicrobial activity against Salmonella typhi.
KEYWORDS:benzothiazilylamino-pyrazoles; aceto-acetamido; hydrazine
