A of mixed ligand complexes having general formula ML2.L’, where M = Cu(ll), L = deprotonated glycine and L’ = picolinic acid, quinaldinic acid, picolinic acid-N-oxide and quinaldinic acid-N-oxide were synthesized and characterized. The IR spectra of the complexes indicate the presence of hydrogen bonding which may be one of the stabilising factors. The IR spectral datas also indicate the coordination with the second ligand has taken place through O-atom of the carboxyl (-COOH) group and N-atom of the N-O moiety. The UV spectral data and magnetic moment values of the complexes indicate their octahedral structure. Molar conductance values support non-electrolyte nature of the complexes.
