The micellar catalysed reactions of hydroxide and hydroperoxide anions with mono-2,4-dichlorophenyl phosphate has been investigated. Borate ion accelerate the reaction. The kinetic rate data in [OH-] can be accounted for quantitatively in term of the pseudophase ion exchange model, but this model fits rate data only qualitatively for reaction of [HO2-].
