Oxidation of an acid orange-7 (AO-7) and acid orange-10 (AO-10) by sodium hypochlorite in presence of cetyl pyridium bromide (CPCl), sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS) and Triton X-100 solutions has been studied. Oxidation rate is enhanced in presence of CPCl while rate is decreased in presence of SDBS and Triton X-100. The thermodynamic parameters have been calculated in absence and presence of surfactants. The Piszkiewicz model applied for the quantitative analysis of the data.
