Studies on 4-Oxo- Thiazolidines : Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of 2-(Aryl/Substituted Aryl/Heterocyclic)-3-(2',3'- Dimethyl-1'-Phenyl-3'-Pyrazoline-5'-one-4'-Yl)-4-Oxo Thiazolidines

Addition of thioglycolic acid to schiff bases, resulted in the formation of 4-oxo-thiazolidines. Some new 2-(aryl/substituted aryl/heterocyclic)-3-(2',3'-dimethyl-1'-phenyl-3'-pyrazoline-5'-one-4-yl)-4-oxo thiazolidines have been prepared by the reaction of thioglycolic acid with schiff bases. These newly synthesised compounds are tested against S. aureus, E. Coli, S. paratyphi. A., S. paratyphi. B.,P. vulgaris, S. Marceseens, P. Acrusenosa and E. Aerogens. The compounds are Characterised on the basis of elemental and spectral analysis.
