A of hydrazones derivatives of 6-substituted-2-chloro-3-formyl quinoline have been synthesized and evaluated for their anti-inflammatory activity. The tested compounds show 31 to 45% inhibition at 100 mg/kg dose compared to naproxen which showed 61% inhibition at 50 mg/kg dose in carrageenan induced paw edema in rats.
